The other morning I got up at 5:00am. I got ready for the day, threw on some warm clothes, and (quietly) met my friends in the hallway. We trudged over to the balcony of the Wertz Student Center and waited outside in the freezing cold for over an hour. There were a bunch of other people waiting out there with us. People were in line in their pajamas and had blankets wrapped around them.
Why would we all put ourselves through this, you may ask? We had to get in line super early so we could get a spot on the bus for a free trip to Hershey Park (yes, I said FREE!). The Campus Activities Board at Lycoming does such a great job of planning trips and activities for the students.
This is the line after we moved inside (I tried to take a picture outside but my fingers were frozen!).
Last month there was a trip to NYC to see the Broadway show Aladdin. For that trip, the bus left Lycoming at 6:00 in the morning. They spent the day in the city and then saw the show. All for free! The Campus Activities Board constantly plans fun things on and off campus to provide interesting things for everyone to do.
Okay, I have built up the suspense long enough (I bet you are wondering if I was able to get a ticket). Well..... I DID! The trip is on November 20th and I can't wait!
