The Lyco Lowdown: An Insider's View of Life at Lycoming

The Dining Experience at Lycoming

I love food. Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is check the menu for the day (pathetic, I know). There are always so many things to choose from. Breakfast food is my all-time favorite. Imagine how ecstatic I was to learn that waffles are available 24/7! I can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day if I want to. One day the daily dinner special was a pancake station. Breakfast for dinner - I was in heaven! Another day there were gluten-free pancakes for breakfast. I figured that a pancake made out of chick peas was better than no pancake at all, so I gave it a try. Not bad I must say!

Aside from breakfast food, there are so many other options to choose from. Most days there are grilled cheese sandwiches (one of my favs), grilled chicken, pizza and french fries. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well. There is a salad bar, a fruit bar, and a few pasta choices at each meal. There is also a sandwhich and wrap sation - the list goes on and on. And just when you think it can't get any better, ice cream is always available, as well as several other delicious dessert selections. The dining hall at Lyco really cares about the students. If you ever have a problem or concern at the dining hall, you can just fill out a comment card. The staff is very accommodating, and they try super hard to resolve any issue and to make everyone happy.

Café 1812 and Jack's Corner are great options as well. If you are in a hurry or just want something a little different, you can pop in and see what they offer. Flex dollars can be used at either location.
